Thank you for taking the time to visit and contribute to our virtual consultation about Swan Street Development Ltd’s proposals for the redevelopment of the 40 Swan Street, Manchester for residential-led development. We very much regret that due to the circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 global pandemic, a face-to-face public consultation event cannot go ahead. Your views are still very important to us, therefore this website has been set up to provide information about the scheme proposals.

The Vision is to deliver a high-quality residential-led development that will complement the existing and proposed developments in this area of Manchester The proposals have been worked up alongside Manchester City Council over the past couple of months and have been informed by the approved New Cross Neighbourhood Development Framework, its principles and aspirations.

The aim is to build upon the existing residential permission for the site and transform the site to provide distinctive and desirable homes for the people of Manchester. The building will comprise of 118 residential homes which will be delivered across a multitude of apartment types.

The design of the building has been developed to respond to the emerging context of the local area in terms of height and density and will deliver a distinctive new piece of architecture which will marry well with the emerging townscape.

The development will be complemented by active ground floor uses in the form of food and beverage/ commercial units.

The proposals will also include a shared roof terrace and private roof terraces for residents within its distinctive roof profile.
